FAQs

Is taking an HR certification worth it?

While taking an HR certification isn’t necessarily a necessity, and plenty of people progress without one, an investment in your own development is never a bad thing. Taking an HR certification course will help you to:

  • Gain new knowledge and skills to add more value to your organization
  • Determine whether you’re really interested in something or not
  • Network with other like-minded professionals
  • Challenge yourself
  • Demonstrate dedication to current and future employers.

Which are the most common HR certifications?

The three most common are the certifications from SHRM, CIPD, and HRCI, but they’re quite hefty. You can always take smaller, more targeted certifications to dip your toe and get specialist skills.

Which HR certifications pay the most?

This is tough to say as there are so many factors that go into compensation (take the certification to find out!). Some research conducted back in 2018 indicates that the coaching certification gives the highest percentage pay boost followed by the senior and global courses from HRCI.
